This is Good Girl Alchemy

Transformation. Creation. Integration.

You’ve done everything right. And it’s costing you more than you’d like to admit.

The whisper— Is this it?— won’t go away, and that’s a good thing.

You want to keep achieving without burning out. To feel energised by your life, not emptied by it. But right now, even knowing where to start feels impossible.

That’s why I’m creating a space to come when you’re spiraling—to find your way forward, held in community by others that get it, one small step at a time, toward a future that feels like yours.

We were all taught different ways to be good

Some of us became the steady one—reliable, selfless, endlessly available.

Some of us became the achiever—successful, impressive, always one step ahead.

Some of us became both.

You may not call yourself a Good Girl, but if you’ve spent your life performing, proving, or prioritizing others over yourself, you’ve been living by rules that were never meant to set you free.

This is where those rules start to dissolve.

Not because you failed—but because you’ve outgrown them.

See if you recognise yourself below.

  • You’re the one everyone relies on.

The one who keeps it all running—at home, at work, in every room you walk into.

You didn’t ask to be the strong one. But now you don’t know how to stop without everything falling apart.

You might not be in crisis, but you’re quietly eroding.

You’re starting to wonder if being “the reliable one” is costing you the parts of yourself you miss the most. Yet, you think:

“If I stop holding it all together, who else will?”

“What if I rest and everything collapses?”

You long to rest. To be supported.

To stop being needed all the time, and still feel worthy.

  • You’ve done everything right.

You’ve built the career. Hit the milestones. Kept your life on track.

And now? You’re wondering what it was all for.

You don’t hate your life. But you don’t feel lit up by it either.

You’re ambitious, curious, capable—and deeply unsure about what’s next.

“I want more, but I don’t know what it is.”

“What if I make a change and fail?”

You want success that doesn’t cost your soul.

You want space to imagine something different—without blowing up your whole life to get there.

Whether you see yourself in one of these, or somewhere in between, you’re not alone.

And you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.

This space is being built for you.

The Good Girl Alchemy Community

A community is forming.

Not a mastermind, not a course, not another calendar item to manage.

A space.

For women who’ve spent years doing it all (and doing it exceptionally), who are starting to question the rules that got them here.

Women who are still ambitious. Still devoted. Still capable.

But quietly wondering: at what cost?

This isn’t about quitting and it’s not about burning it all down. It’s about finding out what it feels like to be guided by something other than what we’ve been told we should do.

We’ll gather.

We’ll speak what’s true, even when we’re not sure what comes next.

You won’t be asked to hustle, optimize, or fix yourself.

You’ll just be invited to show up—honestly.

That’s enough for change to start.

I’m Jo, and I am a Good Girl.

I’ve always been good at doing what’s expected.

I built the career, raised the kids, held the schedules, always delivered, and I held it all together, even when I was falling apart on the inside.

For a while, I convinced myself I could keep going, and I did. But the headaches wouldn’t go away and the low-grade anxiety became panic attacks, which was my body’s way of saying what my brain couldn’t admit: this isn’t sustainable.

That unraveling became my book: The Good Girl is Burned Out, and thank f*ck for that.

It was a reckoning—not just with burnout, but with identity. Because I still want to perform and I still want to lead, contribute, and succeed. But I don’t want to do it at the cost of my joy. Not at the cost of myself.

Now I’m building what I wish I’d had:

A space for women like us to create success that doesn’t deplete us.

To honor ambition and energy.

To stop abandoning ourselves in the name of being “enough.”

I’m not here with a five step process. I’m here as someone who’s lived this, has made major changes, and is still becoming what’s next—right alongside you. Writing about my experiences here.

If something’s stirring in you too, you’re not alone.

Let’s find a new way, together.

Why Alchemy?

Alchemy is a seemingly magical process of transformation, creation or combination (or for our purposes, integration).

Transformation

From proving your worth, to trusting it

From external validation to inner authority

Creation

Of a life where your ambition and your energy are aligned

Integration

Of everything you’ve achieved with everything you’ve been taught to suppress

You are the raw material. This space is the catalyst.

Together, we alchemize everything you’ve been into everything you’re ready to become.

If you want to read more about my story, in The Good Girl is Burned Out, And thank f*ck for that, I walk through what it was like to be in burnout and how it led to identifying my good girl story. I go back to the beginning and trace back my good girl origins, how that led to success in my career, and how everything was great, until it wasn’t.

I talk about the steps I took to get out of burnout and how I’ve lived my life since.

The art on my book’s cover is by Zoë Pawlak, an artist and industrial designer born and based in Vancouver.

A serendipitous conversation with my coach put me on to Zoë’s work and it was love at first sight with this beautiful piece. Then I saw the name, and I knew it would be the perfect compliment to my book.
